On Saturday 18th January Amirah Deazley, P4 travelled to the Waterfront Hall in Belfast to receive an award for her poster that celebrated Chinese New Year. 2020 is the Year of the Rat. 2124 children from across Northern Ireland entered the competition, so it was a fantastic achievement to be part of the winners. The ceremony began with a 1 and a half hour concert performed by a large group of Chinese artistes who came to celebrate New Year. The music, singing and dancing was superb. Wendy Austin from BBC compered the show and Mr Peter Weir, Minister of Education presented the awards.
